First of all, how do you know that people who are making comments have not done exactly that -- volunteered to but not been "chosen" to serve on the caucus committee or applied this time around or in past elections to be endorsed by the caucus and either been chosen (as I was) or been denied the endorsement? How do you know that people haven't served on committees or served on PTO's or regularly attended meetings? There are many different ways to "volunteer" besides running for the school board. There are thousands of registered voters. Should they not get to vote unless they have volunteered? The USA is a democracy. The USA has consitutional rights including free speech rights. The election process allows for people to campaign for or against candidates WITHOUT having to be a candidate yourself. Telling people to shut up is a cop out. Why should anyone, me or others, shut up? Why? The bloggers already challenged people to start sending in reasons why people should vote for Turek. So far, no one has. I find that quite telling.Yvonne Mayernoreply@blogger.com
